Hello,

Apart from my medical test results, do I need to get medical tests done of all family members and attach their test results too, even if I am ONLY applying for MY OWN immigration?

Please clarify. Thanks :)

Cic states this on the website - If you apply for permanent residence, you must have an immigration medical exam. Your family members must also have a medical exam, even if they are not coming with you. (Not allowed to post links but you can check the 'Medical Exams' section under 'Immigration and Citizenship'.)

Path on Cic website : Home --> Immigration and citizenship --> My Application --> Medical or police checks --> Medical exams

You have posted the response to your own question...

Yes. They need police checks too

Okay. Thank you guys :)

Was wondering why would they care about my family's medical tests when my family is not even going with me. :-/

Anyway, so, I will need Police Check Certificates of my family members too ?

Thought I would just need to get MY OWN police check and medical tests done :/

8 -10 Lacs (Indian Rupees) is enough, right ? (12,000 to 15,000 CAD.)
ONLY 1 member from my family is applying for PR. Just me. So, is this amount enough for PoF ?

You can ask the same question over and over again, but it's not going to change. Your family members (spouse, dependent children) must pass the medical and provide PCCs in order for YOUR visa to be approved - even if they aren't coming with you. If one of them doesn't pass the medical, your visa will be refused as well.

Again, you must also have enough POF to cover ALL of your family members - not just yourself.

How many family members do you have? Count yourself, your spouse/common law partner and your dependent children. You must show enough POF to cover all of these people regardless whether they are accompanying you do Canada or not.

One thing to clear.

Your father, your siblings (if they are adult and you are not assigned as your guardian), not even your adult children, or your ex spouse (if you are divorced) are counted as your family anymore.

b) the non-accompanying family member is

(i) the spouse of the foreign national, except where the relationship between the spouse and foreign national has broken down in law or in fact,

(ii) the common-law partner of the foreign national,

(iii) a dependent child of the foreign national and either the foreign national or an accompanying family member of the foreign national has custody of that child or is empowered to act on behalf of that child by virtue of a court order or written agreement or by operation of law, or

(iv) a dependent child of a dependent child of the foreign national and the foreign national, a dependent child of the foreign national or any other accompanying family member of the foreign national has custody of that child or is empowered to act on behalf of that child by virtue of a court order or written agreement or by operation of law.

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. My bad, I didn't mention that I am single. Apologies :(
So, in this case, as there are is no spouse/children, only I will have to pass the medical and police tests!
