For permanent accommodation you have to consider few points
1. Reasonable / affordable rent
2. Area / community / neighbourhood
3. Available facilities & amenities
4. Access to Transportation or subway system
5. Shopping Mall, Parks, Walk in Clinics, Hospital, Pharmacy, etc...
6.
Most important walking distance School, if you don't have Transportation, in winter it is very difficult to drop kids if school
is little bit far.
(Check the ranking of the school in GTA, link is below to compare school rankings)
http://ontario.compareschoolrankings.org/SchoolsByArea.aspx?schooltype=elementary
7. Jobs availabilities or job market
I bed room rent is $ 800 -1500 / per month, below mentioned area. Downtown or center city is 1 bed room $ 1500 – 2000PM.
Avoid the center city (downtown) it is not suitable, many valid reasons not to choose this area. Nearby area East York, North York, Scarborough, etc... Are less congested and well connected with TTC and subway system. Mississauga, Brampton are OK if you have own transportation.
