Good Short Stay Options - Toronto/GTA

Here r my choices, in this order:

1- Motel6, Mississauga
2- Studio6, Mississauga
3- SafeHomeStay, Toronto
4- Best Western Hotel, Brampton
5- Ports Hotel, Mississauga
6- Holiday Inn Express, Airport or Brampton or Mississauga
7- Comfort Inn Hotel, Mississauga
8- Derry Guest House, Toronto Downtown

NOTE:
a) All r similarly priced (+/-), except the BLUE colored hotels. -but, they r 'budget hotels', so not pricey
b) I'd suggest everyone to go for Motel6. It's way better organized, value for money than the others.
c) In the Hotels, Holiday Inn Exp is better than Best Western; but B/W has bigger room size.
d) Do not go to Derry Guest House, unless u must be in Downtown Toronto. -not well maintained
e) SafeHomeStay is well managed by the Thomas & Caroll. Its the Cheapest among all. -not bad too

Are you looking for short stay or permanent accommodation?

If short term check link http://www.settlement.org/sys/faqs_detail.asp?k=EMERGHO_SHORT&faq_id=4001235
checked the following Short Stay for one of my friend family:

-Motel6 http://www.motel6.com/

-Studio6 http://www.staystudio6.com/reservations/motel_detail.aspx?num=1908

-SafeHomeStay http://www.safehomestay.com/

-Best Western Hotel http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do?propertyCode=66068

-Holiday Inn Express

All r similarly priced (little here-n-there), except the last 2 hotels.

For permanent accommodation you have to consider few points

1. Reasonable / affordable rent
2. Area / community / neighbourhood
3. Available facilities & amenities
4. Access to Transportation or subway system
5. Shopping Mall, Parks, Walk in Clinics, Hospital, Pharmacy, etc...
6. Most important walking distance School, if you don't have Transportation, in winter it is very difficult to drop kids if school
is little bit far.
(Check the ranking of the school in GTA, link is below to compare school rankings)
http://ontario.compareschoolrankings.org/SchoolsByArea.aspx?schooltype=elementary
7. Jobs availabilities or job market

I bed room rent is $ 800 -1500 / per month, below mentioned area. Downtown or center city is 1 bed room $ 1500 – 2000PM.

Avoid the center city (downtown) it is not suitable, many valid reasons not to choose this area. Nearby area East York, North York, Scarborough, etc... Are less congested and well connected with TTC and subway system. Mississauga, Brampton are OK if you have own transportation.
