Hello Folks,
I'd like to present our situation to get your feedback/reactions. Any insight would be highly appreciated.
I am a Canadian citizen. I sponsored my wife in 2003. She became a PR in 2004. Same year, 2004, our first child was born in Canada. She completed her residency requirements for PR renewal and not her citizenship because her father became gravely ill and she had to be absent for longer than the minimum days required for citizenship. During this time our second daughter was born in 2007. She applied to renew her PR card in 2009. The officer asked her why she didn't apply for citizenship and she told him that her father is very sick and she couldn't complete the requirements. She was granted the renewed PR. Now, as of summer 2012 she has completed her citizenship requirements of 1095 days and applied for citizenship in the summer (June 2012).
Note: She travelled frequently to Middle East (where her parents live) because her mother also got knee surgery on both legs in 2011, which was very difficult. We also travelled on vacation to Europe, US, Middle East, Asia, etc. for short periods of time. All stamps and passports are available and clear (though not all in English, especially the Middle Eastern trips). All absences were declared as per old & new passport stamps. She also submitted a hand-written declaration that she is a wife and mother of Canadian citizens; and that on all her travels were her children accompanied her.
Application date: June 28, 2012
Received and Discover Canada book sent: September 22, 2012
Processing status started: February 16, 2013
She hasn't received a letter for test, etc. But when she does, do you think her application will prompt the Officer to issue an RQ?
She is a wife of a Canadian citizen. She is a mother of two Canadian citizens. She has had both her children with her in all her travels, and travelled with her husband (me) for almost all her travels.
Thank you for your input.

So....You did not leave Canada at all since you moved here ? Also, are you a spousal sponsorship ? your husband / wife is canadian (naturalized or born) ???
Do you have a full-time job in Canada or are you a housemaker ?
