I am currently holding a LMO work permit (Close work permit)...however, I lost the job a few months ago, and now could not find any work which the employer would sponsor my new LMO application. I have submitted my CEC application, but still have to wait a year or so, during this time, what else I can do?

If I wish to travel outside Canada for more than a month, will there be any risks associate in related to my return to Canada?

Better to stay in Canada and work out to look for another employer unless it is very important to travel outside Canada.

Thank you. I understand this is the best option I should take, but the reality is hard to follow, could you please give me some advice to mitigate the risks.
