Hello friends i am confused pls help me....
from more than 3 years i have been working in internet cafe...
my main duties are to check that internet is working fine on all computers,to install new software and hardware,giving access to people from my main computer to internet and helping them getting print outs of mails and web pages... i also collect money or take charges by myself....

i want to know can i apply in NOC 2281......Main duties are as follows on cic...

Computer network technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications
Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
Provide problem-solving services to network users
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
Control and monitor e-mail use, Web navigation, and installed softwares
Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks
May supervise other workers in this group.



Pls tell me my duities match or not or is there any other noc which relates to my field.

Why don't you read the information posted on CIC's "Determine your eligibility – Federal skilled workers" website:


B) Minimum requirements
Work experience

If your application is eligible to be processed, we will then assess it to see if your work experience is valid.

Your work experience must be:

for at least one year in the same occupation,
continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time),
within the last 10 years,

AND

skill type 0 (managerial occupations) or
skill level A (professional occupations) or
skill level B (technical occupations and skilled trades)

on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) list.

(The National Occupational Classification is a system used to classify jobs in Canada.)



Check the National Occupational Classification (NOC) list, you should be able to determine your own work experience eligibility for the FSW program.

you need to be confident of yourself while applying.......

first check whether the NOC cap has reached or not ?

aman, I am not expert in your field so I cannot comment....

But remember one thing, don't copy paste the job & duties as per NOC......they will reject straight away.....

It should be match 90% approx.....

Else you visit some agent or consultant (they may take higher fee) so dont engage them just discuss formally
