I am confused with an email from MCIC, please help

Hello folks,

I applied online for study permit last month. Today I recieved an email saying

"This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. A decision has been made on your application. We
require your passport to finalize processing your application.."


My question:

Why they said a temporary residence visa not a study permit, is that normal? Or they made a mistake and I have to contact them before I send my passport?

It refers to your study permit application .

The term " temporary resisdence " means you should be living temporarily in Canada as student .
