I have a part time job at a retail shop however I want to go home in December during winter break. Is it true that its hard to go back to canada or do I need to submit an Overseas Employment certificate when going back from manila to toronto although I am just a part time worker? Thanks so much for your advice

If you're a student, you go back to Canada as a student, not as a part time worker.

When does your SP expire?

Yes visa is still valid, my only concern is that if I went home to philippines they will ask for my Overseas Employment Certificate in which I cannot produce as i dont work full time. If i dont need to do this then I can come back in toronto as a student with valid permit

You’re a student and not a worker, first and foremost. If BID at NAIA asks for OEC, tell them flatly: “Are you stupid? Or are you stupid? I am a student, why should I need to show OEC? Do you even know what a student means?”

Its plain common sense. When you first left the Philippines for Canada, did they ask you for OEC?

Also, as @canuck78 asked, are you actively studying? You should not be too concerned about showing proof of work being a student.
