Hi Friends...

I am an Indian citizen working In Canada. My Canada VISA got expired but I have valid work permit. in the same way My wife's visa got expired but she also has valid visitor permit till 2014. We are planning to travel back to India. Can we expect any problem from airport people while checking our expired VISAs? Few of my friends saying that It would not be any problem. Can anybody please confirm me as I need this information urgently.

you can go back to india and there will be no trouble and can file visa for coming back on the basis of work permit. my couple of friends were in same situations and there was no trouble.

I was in the same situation. No problems at airport. But if you apply for a new visa in India, be prepared to wait 2 months or more, the way things are going these days.
