It's going to be 2 years since I got my COPR. I've assessed my situation and I find that living in Ontario would be better for me since I work in Ottawa but live in Gatineau.

Tax-wise, I'm getting pummeled. Also, I haven't been assigned a family doctor yet despite months of searching and signing up for that family doctor matching.

Is there a specific method or process I need to follow to transfer?

Like surrendering my RAMQ in favor of my OHIP?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you.

once You are a PR you can move anywhere in Canada. Of course once you settle in the new province you will have to register for the insurance, exchange your driver license and maybe other paper work

You may not be able to get a family doctor in a Ottawa either although the situation is better than Gatineau
