Hello, I'm Arifa,

I am a mother of 2 children. A boy (19 years old, currently dependent) and A girl (16 years old). I divorced my husband recently. Now I am always being harassed by him, my ex husband has tried to hurt me and my kids multiple times. I feel like I don't have any safe place in this country now. So, I have decided to move to Canada permanently. I feel like I will feel more secured in Canada. I am an insecure mother with 2 insecure children. Please, help us, how can we move to Canada easily? do I need the permission of my ex husband?

You can try one of Canada’s immigration programs. Unless you have full legal custody of the children, you will need your husbands permission for the children to immigrate.

She will only need that for the daughter. Her son is already adult.

what she is describing is the matter of a civil law. So the best way for her to check Express entry or other economic immigrants program.

You need to file a restraining order against him. Document everything, in case you have to go to court. I don't know if you can apply for asylum until you have exhausted all that local law enforcement can do for you.
