I am just very curious about this, because if you apply for a work you will be required to have a TIN number for your tax and SSS number and that is traceable online, so is it okay if I work during the summer, because i'm afraid my visa might be refused if I work. Please help me on this one. Thanks! ::)

You can have a summer job. You have to be in school full-time during the school year but you can still have a part-time job. Your father does however have to remain primarily financially responsible for you. Paying your school fees, putting a roof over your head and food in your belly, etc.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
TIN and SSS? Is this a US question? In Canada, you only need a SIN (Social Insurance Number). If you come to Canada as a PR, it doesn't matter if you are a dependent on your fathers application or not because you are PR and may work anywhere that will hire you.

If you are a dependent coming with a father who is on a work permit, then you would also need a work permit to work.

Duh. Good point.

I was looking at it from the position we are in. We are waiting to get PR for my partner and her child. The child can have a part-time/summer job but he still has to remain financially dependent while we are going through the process. Once we get to Canada he can do what he wants.
