I did the same mistake, I still haven’t received the first portal email! Everything shows as completed on PR status tracker and I can see Copr document number but no update what so ever and not a single email from ircc, I tried emailing twice to tell them about this mistake but no reply.
how long did it take you to get a reply after everything shows as completed? Im getting super anxious it’s been over a month now :’(

No, Send a mail to IRCC .
Explain that you created an account and they will sort it out
Hi there. I created a PR Portal account because I thought that I needed to since I'm a permanent residence applicant, but I later saw on IRCC's website that I shouldn't have done it on my own as it would cause a delay to my application. I've already contacted IRCC via web form, but they haven't answered yet. I'm about to submit my passport tomorrow at the Visa Application Center in Manila for visa stamping, as they've already sent a passport request letter to me. Do I need to do something or not?

It will take a bit longer but will resolve.

I did the same thing, the message on p1 is so confusing!
I had no issues though, got p1 on Feb 5 and p2 on Feb 26. Bit of a long wait, but cannot know if this had anything to do with it, or it is just the general slowness of Montreal VO.

Hi, I received an email from IRCC on may 8th and accidentally created PR portal account on May 9. I have called IRCC and responded to the email about the account. and I haven't received any response from yet. I filled a webform as well on May 23. IRCC isn't able provide a timeline and asking to wait.
How many days/ weeks does it take approximately to get the PR portal credentials in this scenario?

Hi All,

I applied through agent and got FD on Aug 21. I have upcoming travel plans so I used KAI and send P1 email to multiple IRCC emails on Aug 22. I didn't know I need to use my personal email in P1 reply, I used my agent's email for the Email for the Permanent Resident Portal:

On Aug 26, my agent forwarded an email and it's P2! but they said I shouldn't use their email and they can't upload the details on my behalf, I should send p1 email response again and ask IRCC officers to create a new portal use my personal email address.

I sent out an email yesterday to IRCC.ClientPortalEast-EstClientPortail.IRCC:

This is with regards to the application E00xxxxxxx. I received the portal 2 email to action however kindly note that I do not yet have an account in the PR portal.



I would like to change my email address to xxx@gmail.com(my personal email) and create a new login as well.



Please see my details below and request you to create a PR portal for myself to confirm my address and upload the photo in the PR portal.
I haven't got a response yet. Can anyone let me know what else can I do in this situation?

PS: I tried to use 'Forget Password" function and it asked to put verification code which I don't have. I don't remember if I have created an account before.

Hello Guys,

It did work.
Just an update: I made account on PR portal in advance, using the same email address which I submitted for PR portal. Then I came to know - we are not supposed to make it in advance.
What I did - I replied with my new email address to the same PR portal email address, requesting to send me credentials on my new email address.
So today, I got the credentials of the PR portal on the new email address.
I hope this information will help !
