Anywhere up to 22 months. Everyones situation is different but im just past the 8 month mark and still waiting.

wow I called CIC and the representative told me they have to make a decision within the 12 months of the medical and I have sent the medical in with my application. Was that your case?

I applied in December and hubby did medical in April. It almost never takes the full 22 months, but it definitely can be more than a year o

ok. I got a nice lady from cic today who advised me not to wait for the letter to do the medical because if I do my application will take a longer time however if I hand it in with my application it will ensure a decision needs to be reached within 12 months of the medical. They cannot let the medical expire. crossing fingers

Yes dont wait for them to ask. Anytime they have to ask you for something they push back your file for 60 days. Even if they get what they asked for on the same day.
