Hi members and seniors,

My AOR is March 27th 2017. I am using the help of a lawyer to submit my PR application.

My lawyer has submitted Schedule A upfront.

The problem is that on Schedule A for address history I have put Apt 310 for one of my addresses and on the E Application my lawyer by mistake put Apt 210.

To add to confusion, we use to live in Apt 310 before but after I moved to Canada for studies my parents moved to 210 in the same building so my parents address and my address for all my travel shows 210 which is why the lawyer most likely thought it was 210.

Now will CIC see that it says 310 on Schedule A and 210 on the e application and refuse me or say I misrepresented? if I raise a CSE, will that delay my application or will that mean I am admitting I misrepresented? Should I just leave it and do nothing?

Please help

It doesn't hurt to raise a CSE. Just explain that your lawyer made a mistake and did so for the reason you mentioned. Also try and provide evidence if you have any of residing in 310. You can upload a tenancy contract for example. I don't believe raising a CSE will cause a delay in application processing. The experts on this forum can maybe shed light on this.

If there is anything you feel should be clarified, provide the clarification. At least that is what I would do and have done for my case.

Good luck.

Not an issue. Transcription errors are common and happen with a lot of people. You application will not be rejected on this little minute detail, of a wrong apartment number. However, since you have identified it, you should ask your lawyer to get it corrected by raising a CSE https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx.

You don't need a lawyer or a representative do it, you can do it yourself too. In the explanation, don't go over all the details of your parents and lawyer. This will unnecessarily confuse the agent. Simply state that the information entered in E-App has been inadvertently mention as ADDRESS 210 instead of ADDRESS 310. And request them for a correction as it is on Schedule A. You will receive a reply in 2-4 weeks and it will be fine.

Do not worry on this little issue. Its just a human error. And I much say that you did a great favour to yourself by choosing a lawyer to file your application instead of a consultant.

Hope this helps! All the best!
