Humber - Marketing Management - Please help

Hi guys,

I have got offer letter from Humber for Marketing Management course. I have completed MBA (general) and MISM from USA. I have got Highest distinction in MBA and MISM. Now, I want to do specialization in marketing so I choose this course.

My IELTS overall band is 7.5. R - 8, L - 8.5, S - 7, W - 6.5

I am going to apply under SPP. For that I am in process of Rs. 12 lac loan as my tuition fee is $12,200.

Previously, I have applied for canada PR but rejected. They mentioned that my experience is less than required so I have lost PR by 3 points. Actually I have 3 years of experience in the field of Marketing and before that 1.5 years of experience in the field of pharmacy. But my agent messed up all so got rejection.


Now, based on these details, plz tell me ---

1. What are the chances of getting student visa? I am planning to apply within 10 days.

2. Also let me know important things I have to be careful about.

3. Police Clearance Certificate is required?

4. This is a 8 month course starting from january 2012 to August 2012, but called it 2 semester course. How many months of work permit I get after study?

Are you sure if Marketing Management course from Humber college is a 'highly specialized' course for an applicant who hold MBA with distinction and MISM from USA ?

I am asking this because you hold a master level of highest qualification in business studies...MISM from USA...with over 4 years of work experience and now aspiring for 8 months of college level certificate course.


1. Police clearance certificate not required for Indian nationals.

2. You shall get 8 months of PGWP.

As I have MBA as a general and now I want to do specialization in specific Marketing field. I have also talked with 2 - 3 consultancies and all said that it will be fine.

you should show some more funds ....... livings costs .....secondly ........ u should apply to university as the other guy said ......... coz ur over qualified for a college ........... u should apply to university of toronto ..... or some other .......other wise they will again rejected ur visa...............
VO's are just high school grad with courses it is hard for them to understand even why u would apply for a course ....... so u have to explain them well if u wanna go for it ....... but rejection chances are 80% chill
