Hi there came to Canada in Dec 2016 we hired a lawyer in Feb 2017 and he applied our H & C application in Jan 2018. Mar 2019 we were asked to submit medical certificates, police certificates, PR fee and job offer and financial condition. Almost 25 months ( excluding one year without apply) without Work permit, no health care and no schooling for 4 minor kids as we dont have canadian IDs. We didnt have even AIP as yet .....youngest kid has slow growth issues.
Is this a normal situation? Can somebody guide? Any way out to get kids register in school? Medical reports we submitted are going to be expired in the mid of march 2020? Do we need to file new medicals?

Unfortunately this is quite normal. There seem to be quite a volume of applications at this time and processing times are somewhat long than they were before (although they were never short).

Since it's been two years since your application was submitted, I would be expecting that you should be hearing about AIP very soon. If you haven't done so already, I would request GCMS notes for your application to see what the status is. It will take around 30 days for the notes to be received.

I think there should be some way for our children to attend school however don't have experience in this area and can't give you any advice. Hopefully someone else will be able to help. In terms of working and health care, these aren't possible while you are waiting for AIP. You need positive AIP for these to be possible.

Yes it is unsual.....infact we were misguided about the procedure and when we came here and after having word with lawyers discpvered the procedure was not as we were told.

We came from Italy, and had some serious issues.

You can order GCMS notes. The chances of receiving H&C if you have status in any EU country is very low. If you were having some difficulty in Italy you had the ability to move to another EU country easily. How are you surviving? Did you have savings? How are you4 children attending school if you have any?
