A recent study led by Canadian Migration Consultant, Richard Kurland reported that the average processing time for a Canadian visa has dropped nearly by half.
You can live & work in Canada! go >>
In 2005 the average processing time for a visa was around 50 months, but that figure decreased to 26 months by 2009. Kurland states that the decrease in processing times is largely contributed by the Government's decision to fast-track Skilled Worker Visa applications.
The Canadian Government decided to implement regulations that would fast-track Skilled Worker Visa applications to ensure that Highly Skilled Individuals wouldn't have to wait too long to migrate to Canada. According to Kurland, the decision to fast-track Skilled Worker applications has greatly improved the Canadian Visa application process. "Skilled Workers are no longer facing poor service from Immigration Canada" states Kurland.
A representative from the Canadian Immigration and Citizenship (CIC), stated that the aforementioned figures reflect the fact the country continues to welcome the "best and brightest" who wish to live in Canada. The decisions that have been made by CIC to fast-track Skilled Worker applications also reflects the fact that Canada needs highly capable Skilled Workers that drive the economy.
