Huge Delay in the Work Permit Processing Time Applied from Inside Canada

Hi,

I have applied for the LMIA-exempt work permit from inside Canada on July 19. However, I have not received any news yet. The processing time for the work-permit applications is supposed to be 8 weeks but regarding my application it is almost 13 weeks (90 days). So, I was wondering whether anyone else has a similar issue and/or knows the reason for this huge delay.

Have you applied when you were inside Canada? For those applying from abroad, it usually takes much longer.
