hello people

well today was the big day for my hubby. after 5 LONG months of waiting, my husband walked into the visa office with additional info (he has been asked to re-do the personal history portion of the IMM 0008 forms as there had been some gaps and he also wanted to add more pics, facebook info, call logs etc...). as requested by CIC, he showed up an hour prior to the interview to submit it. upon arriving there however, they asked him to sit and wait (his interview was at 1pm)

at 1pm, they came to collect said info and escort him to a different a different room. shortly before this, 3 other men had showed up. for some reason, they collected his info and told him to wait while they dealt with those other 3 men first. my husband was PISSED/CONFUSED/NERVOUS. those men had come and gone and he still waited for his turn as they attended to another 3 men. he told me he started freaking out inside, thinking something was SURELY wrong.

Finally, they asked him to go in at 2:30 and he said he was met with a beautiful woman in her early to mid 30s who told him she had gone through his existing and recently submitted info.

she gushed about how good-looking we were as a couple and asked him to sit. she noted the period we had met and then said we were engaged just 2 weeks after meeting (false) and asked what the rush was. he corrected her, telling her we were engaged 3 months after meeting and that it was only a matter of time. that our getting married was inevitable and knowing me a year prior would not have changed the fact that he would not have hesitated/delayed in getting me to marry him lol

she then asked what our plans were. he just told her we planned on expanding our family and building a strong base family unit.

she lastly commented on our daughter. he told her her bday was tomorrow and she just said awwww. that's great. she then told him congrats, that he should wait while she had his visa issued. said the whole things only lasted about 20 minutes at most. that i made him memorize useless facts about me and our marriage for nothing LOL. hey, better safe than sorry!!!

interview began at 2:30. by 3:30, he was walking out the accra office, with stamped passprot in hand :D
