Do you think it is practical to do a job search in IT from US with a virtual Canadian number?

Tip: Put your LinkedIn profile location as your target Canadian city. Most recruiters filter by location first. Once they contact you, say that you are willing to fly in for interviews. If they still appear hesitant, offer to pay for those visits yourself.

Any one has any inputs for Management Consulting roles? I am a Consultant focused in TMT (Telecoms primarily).
6 years of work ex as Telecom engineer before MBA. 3 years post US MBA experience in TMT as Consultant. I have PMP and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, also a DELF A1 French certificate.

In US it's very hard to get calls from firms like EY,PWC,Deloitte, KPMG etc if you don't graduate from their feeder schools. Any inputs if Canadians have the same mindset?
