Hi All,

I moved to Canada permanently in February 2018 (after a soft-landing in Sep 2017), and am now planning to apply for Super Visa for my mother.

While I easily meet the LICO score thresholds, I do not have any past-years' annual returns, or T4/T1 to show. Also, I work on a contract, and have a contract letter, and not a full-time employment letter.

Can anyone please guide me how do I show my LICO score? Do I have to get it verified by an accountant?

Thanks

I strongly recommend you do not apply for your mom's super visa at this point in time. You are unable to prove you have stable income that meets/exceeds LICO to support her visit for up to two years on initial entry

Not the best time to apply for Super Visa. My take is that immigration officers will favor a $32,000 annual income for 2 pax - permanent full time, than $70,000 annual - contract full-time.

I'd suggest you let your mom travel to other places first so she can have a good travel history.
Also, build your mom's bank profile back home and open a savings account.
Prepare your family business and property documents, if there's any.

This will help a lot.

Thanks. I already have exceeded the CAD38,000 LICO score in past months, so wanted to check. However will wait, till the time someone confirms they were successful with Super Visa in the first year of PR.

If your mom has strong ties to her home country + a good personal financial situation + some travel history, she can apply for a TRV instead. That would allow her to stay for up to 6 months (if allowed by the officer at the POE, of course) + extend her stay.

She can apply for a super visa later even when she holds a valid TRV
