How to update documents with CIC after CC charge

Applied from Chennai, India though a foreigner (Nigerian) I have been charged but did not include India police certificate with my application. I have the police certificate with me now but was told in the letter received from CIC not to send them any document unless they request for it

I need advice from experience people, should I send the police certificate or wait till they request for it, knowing fully well that police certificate has expiry date and will soon leave India back to my country?

I think you can wait till they request for it.. by the way i am a foreigner too living in chennai right now. can you guide me how u got the PCC . i am going to send my app in 2 weeks.

Olukemi2..It is specifically stated on the CIC checklist that you can go ahead and submit your application without the Police report, but be ready to submit it when your Local Visa Office should ask for it. and when they request, you may have about 1month to 45 days to move around and get it, which is fair enough. If you get the PCC now and the request does not come on time, the PCC may expire and that means applying for another one and that costs money. PCC in Nigeria for example often expires in 3 months. I don't know of your country.
