Hello.

Please can anyone help me on how I can travel by bus/train to Centennial Progress Campus from Mississauga. I check in google map but I cannot understand some of the direction or bus no. I check in Go Train but I couldn't get also.

Maybe someone here can share his/her actual travelling experience from Mississauga to Centennial Progress Campus.

I prefer to travel by train upto the last station I can, atleast faster maybe or less transfer.

I don't know but I hope someone can share.

thanks in advance.

Mississauga is big. You'll need to be more specific about where you are traveling from in Mississauga.

From lisgar go train

In that case I think your best bet will be to take the GO as far as the Scarborough stop (you'll have to change trains at Union Station) - you'll then have to take a TTC bus north to reach the school. You should expect this trip to take you at least 2 hours each way. So you're looking at a 4+ hour round-trip commute.

oh its gonna be damn tired an d time taking at least 1.5 hours and also expensive in go train.... if its possible find accomodation in scarborough which is any way cheaper then mississauga and convenient in all way....

good luck

Girl, you don't want to commute 4 hours everyday. This is my life now (in the Philippines) and it is hell LOL

Hi Tipsy!

Do you really want to do the daily commute? Will you be anywhere near Islington subway station? If you are, you can take that line all the way to Warden Subway Station then take the Northbound 102A to Progress/Centennial TTC Bus. It will take you to Centennial College Progress Campus.

I hope this helps.

I also studied in Centennial College in 2009. I had to travel frm Brampton (Kanata road) to the College. It took me almost 4 hrs, one way. Mine was, 4 bus & 2 trains. U shld have 2 bus rides and 2 train rides

The cheapest route I can think of is, catch a bus to the Kipling station, then subway frm Kipling to Kennedy, then another train frm Kennedy to Scarborough. Finally Scarborough to the college. This will easily take u 3hrs,one way. During winters u will have a very hard time, since nothin shows up on time. I did this fr 3.5months,then later moved to Toronto.

Go-bus is another option, but costly and this is not going to help u a lot in saving time. If u still wnt to use Go-bus u can reduce a small fee as a student(i would suggest u to get a 10ride ticket, instead of a monthly pass. This will help u in saving some money,if u dont have college everyday)

Best of luck :)

Yeah, It's really difficult but I used to it. I also travelled more than 2hrs during my college days and working in Makati. Too much traffic in C-5.

I am considering buying car, but I am more comfortable in commuting, I hate traffic and hate looking for parking. :)

I am looking forward to take Lisgar to Scaborough, you think it's fastest? My approx. cost per month is $500.

Do you know how much would cost me in two-way?

thanks to all! I am excited to visit Centennial for the first time...and I wanted to commute :)

Monthly TTC Student Pass or Metropass will cost you 102.75 CAD while the Presto Card for the Go Train/Bus, you can top up/load anytime. You can visit Gotransit.com for fare matrix, schedules, etc. :)

Taking the GO Train from Lisgar to Scarborough will probably be the fastest - but it will most likely also be the most expensive option.

A single (one way) ticket from Lisgar to Scarborough will cost you $11. You can reduce the costs of this trip by buying multi-trip passes. But even then, you're probably still looking at around $8 one way. You'll need to pay for the TTC separately.
