Hi,

Relax. The hiring process is tad 'elongated' in Canada than elsewhere. We have known cases where there were 4-5 interviews during the gestation period and it took 3-4 months to be hired since the first interview. Don't worry.... ur post suggests that his recruitment process is going the right way.

Good luck.

Thanx Qorex

hi qorax and others

i have few question regarding jobs in canada

1. many say we can change professions and its not necessary we have to continue in the same profession as here

2. if yes, we may not have relevant job experience in that filed so how are the chances of getting a job as a fresher in the selected profession.

for example, a person is teacher here and want to be a software tester in canada

3. many are producing false exp letters. will that work out and is that the only way?

pls guide

Hi,

2. What u "want" might not work out... more important is what u get.

Most of us will be starting with 'survival jobs' in the initial phase of settling here. And Yes, most such jobs won't require ur previous experience on it. Thereafter, when u do get into ur stream later (it usually would be in a starter position) - again yes, Canadian employers do not emphasize on hands-on experience on it - but rather'd look for "some" Canadian experience - just to check ur compatibility over the work culture here. And remember, most Sr. Execs. of today had started similarly before... so they know.

3. That's a serious misnomer / accusation... it's not that way.

1. Job sites, Networking sites, requesting friends/relatives here to assist etc. r the ways. But remember, it'd be tough/difficult to fetch a job here from overseas as Canadian employers r averse to hiring ppl whom they haven't met... but it's not impossible.

2. Canadian Style Resume: Pls read here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t74394.0.html

Dear Qorax,

I am about to sit for Alberta Basic Security Guards Course in Calgary to be able to join my first ever job here in Canada. I googled but could not find any sample questions or any hint based upon the previous candidate experience. Can you give any idea about the exam? (I have other resources like manual and government act regarding this profession)

Also suggest advance courses/trainings if I want to pursue this profession of security and investigation in future as well.
