how to show money before applying for visa??

i got a letter of acceptance so now i have to apply for the visa.but i didnt have funds in my bank coz most of the money we use to give as loan to earn interest.so my question is that can i deposit the required money in bank and then apply for visa??will it be fine because the bank statements of the last 4 years wont show a favourable balance as we never felt a need to keep any money in bank..plzz help
