hi all,

I landed inToronto few weeks ago and need to go back to my home country to wrap up things and come back for good, now how can my relative send the PR cards to me through courier.....will they ask him about the identity of the envelope containing the cards or the cards have sort of a chip that they can detect....i came to know that if the courier know its PR cards they will hand over to CIC....please advise guys?

only ppl who have practical experience...please its so delicate matter.

Its better to get it via someone (relative/friend) who will be traveling back to India after your PR card got delivered, dont use courier.

Well I send my husband s PR card to him in Middle East, who returned there to resign from his previous job, after getting a job here.I used FedEx for sending the card.I mentioned them myself that I was sending a PR card.Besides,I had to declare it and some other details at a form before sending. They did not ask me a word but the courier charges :)....95$ or so.I believe it took around a week for my husband to get the card.

But do not forget to make a scanned copy of the card before sending.

I would like to add here that,I have never read/heard any experience explaining any difficulty in sending the card through courier outside Canada. Its a common practice here .

Good Luck!

There have been a few threads about this lately.

There is no law against someone mailing your PR card out of Canada to you. You can have your relative courier it to you in your home country.

My suggestion is coz the courier is not fully reliable, this service comes with a risk of articles getting lost on the way (depending upon country to country, the quality of service)

Sir Go to DHL in Toronto , they have license to ship these from Canada to any part of world. They charge double the rate of normal post.

You can also contact your local DHL office , they will coordinate this for you

Kind Regards

I read somewhere we will be advised not to leave Canada until we get PR card just in case any mistakes occur.
Do you think it is risky to leave Canada without PR?

before leaving Canada take a passport size photo in the specification mentioned in cic and give it to give it to the local person whose address you mention for reciving the PR card .. The only problem could be the photo problem and it can be mailed to them if any issues arise....
