Hi All!

So I sent my application for PR without police background check from my country since they weren't ready. Now next week I'll get both mine and my wife's certificates, but I won't get AOR 'till approx. June (I'm a January applicant). So how can I sen the certificates to CIC? I don't want to keep them as you should send them with no more than 3 months old since issued.

Has anybody done this? Any advice will be appreciated , thanks!

It is not advisable to send any additional documents without the AoR or to be specific, the processing office to which your application has been forwarded/transferred for processing. At this point, without an AoR, what you know is the application is with CIO-Sydney, which is an intake office only. The instructions on the AoR oftentimes identify that the application has been sent to a processing office and, all further correspondence will be sent between the applicant and the processing office. Also important here is a file number, which coupled with your CID, identifies the specific application.

You can try to send inquiries to the two known processing offices for inland applications - CPC-O, and CPC-S/CIO-S. The contact details (email, etc.) for CPC-S is the same as that for CIO-S (no difference). Inquire if your application has been transferred to their offices and wait for their reply - they do both have access to GCMS to see if a processing office has been selected for your application. Then - send your additional documents to the processing office identified in the replies - at this point, assuming no file number yet, then your CID will be the identifier for your application. Just to fully identify what the package is for - affix the immigration class/stream/PNP to your package. And have courier tracking.

The drawback to this method is if both reply in the negative - this means no processing office has been assigned yet and your application is still with CIO-NS and has not undergone the initial checks yet. Then you have to wait a bit more to determine where your application will be processed, before sending any added docs.

.../good luck
