How to send invitation letter to my wife? I am not PR or Citizen

When my wife is applying for a TRV she is asked to submit an invitation letter from the person she's going to visit in Canada (me). I am however an international student right now (not a PR or a citizen). Soon I will have my PGWP, but that still wouldn't help.
The Invitation Letter required information includes a "proof that I am either a PR or a Citizen of Canada"...

What should we do?

Thank you.

you can't do anything, you need to provide the information that is asked....
you can provide a letter from a family member who is a canadian citizen or else you don't have any options left...

That's interesting. Who is asking your wife to submit a letter of invitation?

Any other experts who have any information about this?

When my wife is applying for a TRV online, she selects 'to visit friend or family member' and the document checklist includes family information, proof of means of financial support, passport, etc... And the last one is letter of invitation.

And then I click on 'what information should the letter of invitation include' I get a list of things, like the names, the reason that I'm inviting her... And then a document proving I'm either a citizen or a PR.

May be she should apply in a different way? Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Instead of applying for a TRV, your wife should apply for an open work permit. Every spouse of an international student or an international foreign worker, can join their spouse in Canada providing every other eligibility criteria/requirement is met. Do NOT apply for a TRV for your wife. A spousal open work permit is all she needs - as long as you still have up to 6 months left on ur current study permit. Check my previous posts on this issue. Good luck! Also see : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=177&t=17

Should we wait until May then? That's when I will have my post graduate work permit. May be apply then? Or it doesn't make a difference?
My study permit expires end of July. But I graduate end of April.

Thank you!
