How to restore my status? Reply needed asap.

I applied for study permit within Canada in December but got my study permit approved in February. The college did not allow me to take the program started in Jan I initially applied for as I passed the extended date to register for classes. Now the program is offered in September intake. Will I loose my status as a student? How am I supposed to inform the immigration office?

Secondly if yes then what is the procedure to restore it as now I would be starting studies in September.

you have to talk to your international advisor, technically you will be losing status after 3 month not attending school, but they may do something to help you
