Hello everyone! I got a passport and pictures request for a spouse sponsorship case and in the e-mail wrote underlined the following:
Your visa is valid only if all family members (spouse, common-law partner, dependent son or daughter), whether accompanying you or not, have been declared and examined. You must therefore inform us of any change in your marital status or in your family composition (marriage, common-law relationship, separation, divorce, birth of a child, adoption, death, etc.) BEFORE your visa is issued. Failure to do so will render your visa invalid and will result in the refusal of your admission to Canada as a permanent resident.
Subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, 2001 states that all questions pertaining to an immigration application must be answered truthfully and must provide relevant evidence and documents that the examining officer reasonably requires.

how am I supposed to respond to this knowing that there is no change in my marital status or family composition??!

You don't. It is just giving you one last chance to declare any changes before they issue your COPR. Some people tend to "forget" they have kids or got married then get upset when they can't sponsor them later. Just send the passport and pics if there are no other changes to report.

Congratulation! Wow, that was fast! You sent in your notice of appeal last November, and you already have your PPR? It took us longer than that just to get our bluebook. Can you share your timeline with the folks in the spousal appeals forum?
