how to request an earlier date for landing interview? please help :(

Hi Everyone,
Can someone help me on how to request for an earlier date of interview? My wife and I are booked for a flight back home on April 30 and we just got a letter (March 2) saying that they transferred our application to Scarborough office. We are currently waiting for the date concerning the permanent resident status.

Is there any way that we can request for an earlier date and time?

Can't be done.
Scarborough on top of that is one of the busiest in the country.

After I got my "transferred to Scarborough for your landing interview" letter, it took 2 months to receive the letter from Scarborough giving me an appointment for a month later.
I suggest you change your plane ticket.

You realize that if you are "in-Canada" spousal applicant, that there is the possibility that you will not be re-admitted to Canada as a visitor? If that happens, your application is over, and you would have to re-apply outside Canada.

plsanswerme > if you have a visa to entry Canada, you can fly and come back before the date of your interview, but if you don't have.. dont ever leave Canada it will jeopardise your appllication or worst thing happen it will be refused your application. Dont ever late or missed your interview, once you missed it, you will wait for 6 to 8 months to give you for the second chance of interview. During my time @ 2007, I recieved my letter on May27 from CIC-Scarborough and I had an interview date of Aug 8 and landed at the same day.
