I used my PR card to enter and exit and I have two years. I've been asked by officials to prove that I've resided in Canada for two years (which I've done!) how do I do it??

Easiest is employment records that prove you were working in Canada - or a letter from your school if you were attending school while here. You can also provide lease/rental agreements, credit card statements, health care records, flight itineraries to prove when you traveled in and out of Canada, etc.

What if the PR still commutes to the U.S. (border town). Would it be wise to lease a vehicle with ON plates rather than buying one? How about keeping receipts for when she is in Canada? She travels back and forth over the border almost daily. CIC said the "onus" is on her which is broad direction. Thanks - no answers, more questions I know... but food for thought. M.

The more evidence you can bring, the better. Debit/Credit card records can help, Facebook, cell phone bills, photos you've taken - all of these can be used to help build a case.

If you use Android, you can turn on Google Location History:

https://www.google.ca/maps/timeline

As an example, my wife and I went for a trip yesterday. Pulling up the history:

I can demonstrate exactly where I was, every day - if they want to audit me, it's easy.
