How to properly notarize documents for sponsorship?

Hi,

I’m currently in the process of putting together my application to sponsor my common law spouse. I know letters need to be notarized, but I want to know if they want a Notarial Copy of each letter. That is a certificate the lawyer signs that is attached to the letter saying it is a true copy of the letter.
Or do they want a notarial seal on the letter itself?
Do they need live copies sent by mail as well?
Just want to make sure we comply with the requirements.

Thank you.

Letters do not need to be notarized.

That is not what I’ve gathered from people in this forum who have applied for common law sponsorship...
From another forum: “Ask 2 ppl from your family or friends to write letters about your relationship. Later u need to notarize them. You can attach more than 2 letters, but just 2 must be notarized.”
