How to present previous study visa refusal in EE?

Hi all, I got ITA now filling up my details. there is a section which asks if I have been refused a temporary visa, when I click yes, it gives a section below to fill in details (if I want to). My question is this:
my student visa was refused in 2012 because of various reasons: lack of funds, travel history, length of proposed stay in Canada and so on. How should (if) I present this information in the EE profile?

Hi Sam,

I am also in same boat. My husband had applied for study visa twice in 2017 but got refused both times due to various reasons specified as Other Reasons. Now I am primary applicant and he is secondary. We also got ITA on 9th May. I am also going to go with this approach and explain them the reasons.
