I got married in 2004 and one of the agent in ludhiana demanding 8000 for marriage certificate including all fees and documentations

I want to know is it ok to go with agent or apply by own as there is so many documentation which have to arrange and needs lot of time also

The fee for late registry is high. A part of the agent fee is the stamp paper itself. I used an agent too but I did not pay him all in one go. Before you start, get the form, find a link with your local councillor. Also the holy place where you got married - they will have to sign as well. Then sync up with the agent. Its too screwed up to try it on your own.

Take your time, go to court, check with Suvidha Center there . You will get whole detail regarding process and documents
