First of all why the hell do they give DLI to career colleges if their graduates are not eligible for PGWP ?
However anyone have idea how to find out that a private college or learning academy is eligible for PGWP ?
please help

Public schools are eligible for pgwp... I am not sure about privacy schools...

I am also concerned about this. I don't know how to know about if a college program will lead to PGWP or not.

Why the hell you have to consider private colleges while there are tons of public colleges with more reputation than private colleges?

As usual, you can find the answer on the CIC web site. Always best to check there first before asking here:

Perhaps you won't understand the annual $8 billion 'business' of international education in Canada.

Because in the private colleges you just pay and get your diploma.

Guys, CIC customer service agents are dumb ! One day they will give you one information and on the other day they will say something else. I don't trust them until i get a reply from them in email.
I still haven't got accurate answer from anyone here. Please avoid why i should or shouldn't enroll because i have got many reasons why i am choosing a private college ! So please give that a rest...

Kindly tell me how to confirm if a private college is eligible for a PGWP or not ? I mean whom to ask for that ? College representatives or CIC ?

My wife and I are also looking for this kind of information.

More specific, we are considering a two-years diploma program with co-op at ITD Canada.

I am searching the web for days now looking for answers to the following questions:

- Does this course qualifies me to get an OWP (as spouse)?
- Does this program qualifies her to get a PGWP (as student)?

I sent an e-mail to the institution and they said that it will depend on the immigration officer who process our application.

This is really confusing...

Never EVER trust in your institution regarding immigration issues. With all the money you are going to spend in studies, it's avisable to pay $100 to consult a good immigration specialist.

It doesn't work that way. It's either a yes or a no - it's not up to the officer. If the institution isn't giving you a straight answer - pick a different institution.

Hey, I am facing the same issue. The public colleges provide PGWP but in my profession, college and university courses are not up to date. They are good for beginners, but not for already advanced skill level individuals. Whereas private schools are providing extremely specialized course catered for a specific kind of job, but sadly even though they are DLI they do not qualify for PGWP. I am not sure how to deal with it. It is really frustrating to see DLI courses are not qualifying for PGWP.
