Hi All,

I registered for the express entry pool in January 2016 and I have 374 points(Overall Score in my Express Entry profile). I also not sure if these points are the actual Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

I want to know if there is a benefit that I can get if I have a family member (direct blood relation) settled in Canada who is a permanent resident of Canada.

I would also like to confirm what is the minimum requirement to qualify in terms of score and suggestions to improve my score.

Thanks

Post your CRS breakdown (the table that's in Express Entry).

Hard to tell without knowing what areas you aren't maxing out.

Btech is bachelors...

you need 7 in writing and speaking... only becoz of that you are losing out on around 50 points....

You can maximum get a 423 CRS Score if you get CLB 10 in each band, if you get CLB 9 in each band then you can get 414 CRS points

There is a hope that OINP nomination is going to open soon, so if you can boost your IELTS Scores and get CLB 9 there is a good possibility that you can apply for the nomination. Although, it would best for you if your siblings are from the same province.

Otherwise, if you have siblings, then there might be some other programs that are going to open soon.

You can also try look for new Brunswick information sessions and join one of the session next year, that way, it'll make you eligible to apply for EENBPNP as well.

Good Luck

Hi there,
Indian , 25, with 3 years Software experience. With a 4 year Bachelor (BTech-ECE)degree from India , have enrolled for PG Diploma(ongoing- 1 year) via Distant mode.(Enrolled primarily to get Two/more certificates or diplomas). Recently, checked on the WES site and it showed PG Diploma as " 1 year Graduate study", which means my highest qualification would be a Bachelors.
Based on these, I have 2 options:
A.)With IELTS 8+ band , another 6 month certificate course, or a distant learning Masters in India(would take 2 years) , along with an average French skill(aiming for atleast band 3-5 in TEF for 4 CRS points). Briefly CRS would be for two./more certificates - around 474-478(possibly in 2021) and for Masters- around 481-485(in 2022)
B.) 1 year Masters from University of Calgary(software engineering) followed by 1 year job. Although I know this gives high score, I am much worried about the employment after Masters degree in Canada, since Calgary is primarily a hotspot(as I heard) for Petrochemical industries, and I would have 1 year PGWP.

Any advise in these lines as which option would be feasible and realistic, is much appreciated.
