Hello!

I am an Indian citizen and a law grad with Masters degree from Maynooth University, Ireland. I am looking forward to working in Canada and flexible with the job approach, such as paralegal and compliance.

I am right now in Canada only on a visitor visa, as I have my relatives here.

Would like to accept suggestions for which jobs to go for, which are somewhat associated with my field and can get me a work permit or permanent residency.

Would also, like to know which kind of visa should I approach after this.

Thanks in advance.

You should assume a work permit will not be possible.

Instead, focus on applying for permanent residency. To qualify for permanent residency, you will need to have at least one year of full time paid work experience. Information about Canada's immigration programs can be found here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada.html
Thanks for your advice. Have further queries. In case I am not able to get a work permit, how can I work in Canada for full time for a year?

Are internships considered to be work experience?
No it must be paid work.

Also you may not be allowed to even do internships without a work permit, need to be very careful about this.

Assuming you won't be able to work in Canada, most likely you will need to gain your work experience in a country you're legally able to work in.

With a Masters degree, you might be eligible for the Irish Third Level Graduate Scheme that would allow you to work in Ireland. You could then get at least one year's full time work experience before you apply for either an Irish green card/general work permit or alternatively, you could apply to immigrate to Canada

1 year work permit. It's typically very difficult to get PR with just a 1 year work permit. Recommend you take at least a 2 year program so that you qualify for a 3 year work permit after you complete your studies.
