I was horrified by the amount of automated messages on CIC line. I pushing the buttons for 15 minutes and haven't reached any person alive...
Any tips?

I am calling from inland Canada.

Thanks!

You have to go through the first couple of menus and then you press 0 to get a person. You may still have to wait though since they are often busy.

In fact, it's always a good idea when you get a voice mail system to try to press zero, even if it's not listed as one of the options. It's often left open as a back door to a live person but of course they would rather that you use the automated system if you can, to lighten the workload of their staff.

I have a friend inquiring on how to order application thru CIC phone? He says the prompts only specify ordering family class application rather then Spousal application and since I'm in the states I've never used the number. Anyone have any experience with that?

Why would he not just print it out from the website? I believe outland application for spouse is the same form as a regular family sponsorship form.

He doesnt have access to a printer. I simply sent a fax to Buffalo requesting a application when i began my process and when i told him to do the same they are telling him that they don't do that. He had his spouse call the line but I guess it only gave option of family application, wasnt sure if it was any different. From looking on the CIC website it seems they list different forms (family vs spouse).
