How to get processing fees back on rejection of Application from CHC

Hi All,

Unfortunately, my application got negative response from CHC and got rejection letter on 31 Jan 2012 for the same.
The letter states that i will get back my application processing fees within 8-12 weeks. However its been 16 weeks i have not received any mail\e-mail from CHC.

Two weeks back i sent a mail to CHC new delhi to enquire about and responded that they have forwarded the mail to concern department.

My query here is if somebody gone thru the same, please share your experience that how long it takes to get the money back and do i need to follow up regurely with them or they will send it automatically.

Dear Sukhveer ! I feel very sad for your rejection. Could you please write the reason for rejection. As per

my knowledge regarding canadian immigration, if an applicant's file is put into processing ,then CHC will not

return processing fees.However if you had paid Landing fees , it will be returned to you.

you are right bro, CHC wont refund the fees for sukhveer, pls explian us dear sukhveer, was your application in process?? with date or without?

I application was rejected as per letter from CHC, Visa officer was not satisfied with my duties performed on last job, i received the letter stating that your processing fees will be returned in 8-12 weeks

Yeah application was " InProcess", without any dates. Now it shows status "Decision Made"

Application was in process then changed to Decision made.
Then in a week time got a letter from CHC.

Yeah application was " InProcess", without any dates. Now it shows status "Decision Made"

Hi Guys

I need someone to help me...
I plan to apply soon, but at this time Im getting only 61 points... I plan to send them a letter explaining them how I may become more econ. established in Canada while I have 1 year experience as a Paint supervisor and have a certificate issued to work as a Painter and Decorator

The problem is that I dont know how to write that letter to be attached with applications.

Dear Sukhveer,

I am 100% sure CHC will return your processing fees that you had paid to them.
Its expected within 1 month time they normally send return cheque from Nova scotia.
You just speak to your agency sometimes they donot inform clients in time .

They send a form along with refusal letter for refund of fee. Have you filled this form and sent back to the Processing office. This form contains information related to bank information so that they send money to the account

We are basically in the same position.... My sister-in-Law's family and My Brother's family (two separate families) applied for Canadian Immigration through Mercan Capital Ltd. They have an office in Chandigarh and in Montreal. Both the applications got rejected sometime in Year 2010. Both families paid $1400 draft to Canadian High commission in Nov 2009 and that money is refundable if your application gets rejected.

Since then Mercan Staff is saying that the $1400 that you paid directly to Canadian high commission will come back as a draft in My sister-in-law's name only and they have not received it yet and that they have been in constant touch with Canadian High commission but they did not get any reply yet. On the other hand My brother's family did receive their money back with in 3-4 months after rejection.

After almost two years we started asking other immigration companies also and this is what they have to say:

1. It is not necessary that all the parties will receive their money back at the same time.
2. that being said .... It should not take a year or two years for the money to come back either
3. Mercan Capital's Canadian branch can directly call CHC and find out if they issued the draft in my sister-in-law's name or not. So when they say that they did not hear from CHC they are basically lying.

We are still waiting for some answers and our money but .....
What we think is that they might have received the draft but they must have lost it or something. If anyone has any information about this please share. thanks.

Sorry to heard about your story, Batter write a letter to CHC and also send them the copy of rejection letter.
Put a formal warning to pull them in court if the fees will not be refunded soon, remind them the time mentioned in letter also
highlight the refund line..!!!
I'm not sure but u may apply again in Jan 2013. Or try Australian PR if you are interested, their process is much quicker (6 months)
but I have no experience in that, contact any good immigration services for that.
