How to get my LMIA file number ???

My employer mailed the application for a while already and we want to know if we have the number already? Will they let us know or we need to get from them specifically? Could you tell me the phone number we should call or email address? And does it have to be done by my boss or I can require it as well?

SC will only release information to the employer. The phone number would depend on the specific office it was the application was sent to. What's a while? File number is generated at the same time credit card is billed/cheque is cashed so unless that's been done you won't yet have one. Is there a particular reason you require the file number?
