Hi team,

As we know, if an individual is having job offer from Canadian employer, it add lot of points to Individual score. Can anyone help me, how can I get a job letter my existing company. I'm working for a MNC in India and they have office in Toronto, what or How should I get a letter from my company even before applying for PR bcoz my company needs to believe that I have PR. If I tell them that I'm going to apply they might not help me, Any thoughts??

Hi,

We do get an employment letter from our company and the letter clearly states that the offer starts from the day we become permanent residents of Canada. So I am not sure if you can get a new employment letter without telling them the purpose.

A letter from them wont do any difference to your CRS.
So we came back to ground zero. How can one utilize the benefit of having his company in Toronto? or Is it that ,you need to have job offer from job bank or apply to job portal and get a offer. I was thinking, if I can take advantage from my company.

Thanks Sai. So what should I tell my company to get that letter. My management seems to be supportive. And will this letter be considered as employment letter and add to our CRS score?

As far as I know (have experienced) we do get 50 points for a valid job offer. I dont think a letter from the manager would be sufficient. It should on the company's letter head with your proposed pay structure as well.

Yeah. See this is what I'm thinking, although I'm planning to consult a professional this Saturday. If I can manage to get a letter (employment letter from HR, like a new hire), then this will going to help me a lot. But another doubt comes to my mind, why will they issue a offer letter to a person who is not having PR currently and will be having in future.

On top of this, another thought comes to my mind, that this process should be fine as ppl have to get a job letter from Canadian employer when they have started the PR process. Getting confused.

I see you're in Toronto. You got your PR?

Your company needs to provide you with both a job offer and approved LMIA if you want job offer points.

If you are on ICT work permit, it is like your company is supporting you with the PR process. Since you are already employed with the same company, it is like they are retaining you after you become a permanent resident. I am not aware of the technical stuff involved in this process and I have just told what I have understood. It may not be very clear for you.

Regarding my PR, my application is in process.

Got it Sai. Thanks. I'll do one thing, I'll check with one of the professional whom I'm meeting this Saturday and also will check with my HR in Toronto what they say about it. Will share thoughts after the meeting.

Regarding your PR, did you filed it by yourself or took help of any agent? I did a rough calculation about my CRS it is coming around 411 but as you said, a valid job offer gives 50 extra points, which literally boost up you chances of getting selected in draw.
