Very unlikely for a barista/cashier. In order to obtain a work permit, you first have to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a full time job. That employer then needs to obtain an approved LMIA (permission to hire you). As part of this process, the employer will have to advertise the job for a month to prove that no Canadian could be found for the role and also pay a $1K processing fee. Once the LMIA is submitted, processing could take up to four months - and approval of the LMIA is not guaranteed.
Because the process is so long, complex and expensive - many employers unfortunately aren't willing to go through it.
However you can certainly try to find an employer.
