I know the process, but looking for people to share places to get fingerprinting done cheaply.
some companies are charging 4500 Rs per person for it! which is ridiculous.

What city are you in? I got mine done from a place called Realscan Biometric in Delhi. Fingerprinting is hard to do and expensive. I would not recommend going for the cheap option.

Recently, i saw a thread where guy gives instruction on how to get them yourself... will find this post.

If you are in Mumbai, you can just go to the CID branch at Fort and get it done for a 1000 bucks (bribe included :P).

If you go to any government body like Commissioner Office or CID, they will charge less (~500) but they are not experts and therefore the prints might not be as per the FBI requirement. I would recommend going to fingerprint experts who charge more (>4000), but they do it regularly and chances of rejection/resubmission from FBI are less.

Sorry, I don't agree to that. I had a fantastic experience there. The guy who took mine and my wife's fingerprint did this stuff for the past 25 years (even said that the fingerprinted Arun Gawli - a noted gangster). The head of the branch then verified it himself using a magnifying glass before signing the document.

I didn't like the bribery bit but from a quality standpoint, they were pretty good. Also, I took 3 separate fingerprints in case one (or even two) came out bad.

Do it yourself , I did it myself and got my results from the first time. Please be sure to submit about five sets of your fingerprints.

I got it done from http://www.truthlabs.org. They charged me around INR 1500-1800 (inclusive of taxes n all) in Dec 2015. Very professional and neat work. I got my FBI PCC with no issues.

I did it myself, there are a couple of youtube videos that teach the proper technique. Do not pay third party agencies any money for fingerprints. Just download the form from FBI website, practice for a couple of days and when you get the hang of it just send in multiple sets.

Yes , just in case one of your fingerprints in one set is not clear, it may be clearer in the second set.

I got mine from Truth Labs in Bangalore as well. I think they also have an office in Hyderabad. They told me over the phone that they would charge 1500 + taxes for a single set, but proceeded to provide me with 2 sets as precaution, for the same price.

I did my self too....using the std ink pad you can buy from stationary shops. i submitted only one copy.

I have got it done once before in US, so I know its not a rocket science, and if done little carefully, I should be able to do it myself.

few questions
# Where to buy forms from ?
# What do I fill in the space for signature of the officer taking prints.

Thanks
Anurag

1. You can get the forms on fbi website https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks
2. This is something even i would like to know. What do we fill in the section for the Signature of official taking fingerprints and employer and address.
Where does employer and his address come into picture?

Anyone?
