Families of international students are allowed to accompany the student when they relocate as long as they have their TRV/SOWP. This is only if they go together.Where is this written? Can you send me the webpage link so I can read? Thanks

Hi, my friend has a PGWP (post graduate work permit), and he returned back to Canada without a job offer...Your family definitely needs the letter. Based on what we are seeing here, approval is generally not being granted for family members of temporary residents since this travel is being categorized as non-essential. Can your wife secure a job in Canada? Based on experiences here, if she can secure a job in Canada before traveling and provide proof she has a job waiting for her in Canada, she should be allowed to board.
Oh really? Did he provide some other proof of ties to Canada? Thanks!Hi, my friend has a PGWP (post graduate work permit), and he returned back to Canada without a job offer...
Did you get through with your letter/traveling?I have just mailed today - thank you for this thread otherwise I would've struggled to find this.
Lets see how long mine takes. Our Visa's and Passports came back today and we have already booked our flights from the 10th December however I had a niggling feeling that something may go sour. Thank the Lord i googled and then saw we would have a problem getting our children through.
I am praying hard we get an answer in 2wks time at most.
Does your wife have a study permit since you are asking in the international students section? If not, what visa does she have.I need a letter (I think) for my wife and I to travel to Canada, I hve a work permit and a letter from my company.

So did you apply for an authorization to travel or not? It is under "How to Bring Family Members with You."Yes I know this, however trying to get one seems to be on a par with finding yeti fur. I get no reply from any of my emiails on the webform.
I applied but have no reply, I just need to know how long this will take so I can book flights and accommodation. So did you apply for an authorization to travel or not? It is under "How to Bring Family Members with You."
