Hi,

I received the ITA and need clarification on an important issue. I mentioned 2 years of work experience in my own company. However, the company is no longer operational. What is a must have and good to have documents that I need to attach to the application?

I have registration documents, a couple of client contracts that I could share, one year of tax returns of the company, bank account statements for a few months and potentially a reference letter from a client. Will these suffice?

If not, what else would be needed? Is it important to attach a letter from the business partner or a business advisor? Is it important to provide bank account statements or tax documents for the whole period of business operation?

Thanks!

Prepare a notarized reference letter and if possible get it signed by any old colleague with his/her contact details (you can attach both your visiting cards if you still have them) and attach all the proofs of the company being closed, with news clippings (if they exist) along with the other documents that you mentioned above.

Thanks! I remember reading somewhere on CIC that they don't accept letters for self. Thus, I think I cannot really attest to my work. Please correct me if you know otherwise.

I am not asking you to write your own reference letter. I am saying get it from a colleague, and get it notarized from a notary.
