Thanks Asivad Anac..

I have bechlor degree, so I need to verify only bechlor degree for ECA, correct..? buy My wife has done BCA and MCA(Masters in Computer Application), so Do i need to verify both of her degree, or just masters(MCA) for ECA?

Yes. Just the Bachelors degree.

Before you decide this, check the Canadian equivalency for your wife's degrees on the free WES tool. You might have to send in both her degrees to WES for assessment. If her MCA is assessed as Canadian Masters, she should be the PA instead of you because that is likely to get much higher CRS.

I Would recommend WES. I got mine done through ICAS, but they were painfully slow.

However, before submitting an application please check on the WES website, where they show your probable evaulation.

harwinder,

how much time it took for your ECA to complete from ICAS.

Re: when $550 needed to pay, after getting ITA or while creating profile?

@Asivad Anac : I want to keep my self as PA.. because she wont be able to score better in IELTS, and It will affect overall application.

I checked on WES site, her degree is considered as masters in canada..

is there anyway out of this?

Pl suggest

If the PA has a Masters degree, can score CLB 9 in IELTS and has 3+ years of work experience, that is enough to cross 400. Recommend that your spouse trains well for IELTS so that she can score CLB 9 or higher.

If you are the PA, you will score a maximum of 50 points in Skills Transferability (if you score CLB 9 on IELTS) and your CRS score will be much lower than 400.

@ Asivad Anac : but she doesn't have more than 1 year of exp, that is the problem. I have almost 5 years of exp in Software industry with MNC.

So, will they allow me to be PA, or my wife will be considered as PA, by default?

You can choose to be the PA. Calculate the projected CRS score here ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

CIC allows you the flexibility to choose which one of the spouses can be the PA.

Thank you Asivad Anac :)

can u pls share me your wtsapp id, or email/facebook id like?

Sincere Thanks for resolving all my queries.. :)

@ Asivad Anac : I have calculated my CRS points, and it's about 340, as I hv 5 years of exp in IT industry.
So, If we see cut off for last few draws, i stand no chance to get ITA.

So, how can i proceed further, Kindly guide..

Are you hitting at least CLB 9 in IELTS (8 in L and 7 in R/W/S) ?

If i improve my score IELTS, still I wont get more than 370 points CRS. but people are getting more than 450-500 points from 600...
because as a normal citizen with work experience as of mine.. points will be same as mine...

so is there any otherway out..? or i need to consider PNP? and what is process for PNP?

Please suggest

You can score more than 450 if you have a Bachelors degree and another PG diploma/degree along with CLB 9 in IELTS and 3+ years of foreign work experience.

If that isn't possible, try to increase your score to at least 400. Most PNP have stringent eligibility criteria and are almost done for 2015.
