How to get documents submitted to CIC ?? CAIPS notes is fine ??

Hi

I went to canada 5 years back as visitor. In the due course I lost couple of documents, now I want to get copy of documents I submitted to CIC earlier. Is there a way to obtain them. I guess (not sure) CAIPS notes gives details about the current application process and documents. But I want copy of documents I applied few years back and I dont have my PR application is process.

Please help if someone had did request for documents earlier.

The only way you can copies of the documents (if they still exist) is to make a request under Privacy Act for a copy of your previous file. You want the file not just the FOSS notes. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5563.asp You have to be in Canada to request it or authorize a person in Canada to make the request.
