I recently got an admission to an undergraduate program in Canada. My husband and I have two children age 4years and the second is 10 months old; I wanted to find out:

1. The best way to go about my study permit visa.
2. If the Kids and my hubby should apply with me for the visa.
3. How much in USD would we need to have in our account to be considered adequate funds for all of us.
4. Any other consideration we should know for the visa approval would be highly appreciated.

Thank you,

Leave the family behind. You should be able to pay the first year's fees and have at least 10k funds and housing as well.

Thank you,
1. create dummy GC key account and apply for study permit to find out the requirements and your options
2. it's up to you. application with family is not ground for refusal. you just need to provide more funds
3. minimum (the quoted amount in your LOA plus 4K CAD for your husband and 6K CAD for your kids) except Quebec
4. for family application : more funds the better, well written LOE or SOP, apply your kids study permit.

Thank you for your response. Might have to consider this option as applying with the family creates a lot of uncertainties.

Thank you for your response. I would also try the dummy GC account just to see what my options are. Thank you.
