How to findout that lawyer submitted the Spouse sponsoship application

Dear Seniors,

Kindly i need a bit guidance. we hired a lawyer in Canada to prepare and submit our Spouse sponsorship application. My wife is Canadian citizen and in Canada , she signed all documents and deposit the fee of CAD 1040.
The lawyer is mostly unavailable to respond.
Now he told my wife that the application is been submitted, But i still want to confirm it by myself. I dont want to believe on lawyer statement only.
My Question is :
1. How to find out that Lawyer actually submitted the application.
2. I tried to find out the application by linking it to my account, but it says no match found.
3. Is there any acknowledgement email or message coming from cic, once the application is submitted.
4. The application can be submitted online or only through courier in Mississauga
5. If he Submitted application , after how much time it will appear online for linking it to my account.

Kindly anyone has any idea, answer thread. i will be grateful

see if you can ask the lawyers assistant. mine had one. so on a couple occasions she assisted me.

In how much time i can find the application status online to link it to my account ? I mean when cic receive my application,
it will take days or months to show up online

If you have a representative you will not be able to link the application and any correspondence from IRCC will be sent to your representative.

What date was the application submitted? Go to the Inland 2017 thread and see how long it takes for AOR on average? Find out if the representative received the AOR yet. Are you applying inland or outland? Keep a track of all the times you have tried to reach your lawyer. E-mails are a great way to keep track and you can keep them for proof just in case your representative is being dishonest.

You can also remove the lawyer as your representative and instead have your spouse be your representative. Then she will be able to contact IRCC to enquire about your application.

I am outside of Canada and applied out-land.
He told my wife that application is submitted and the processing will start and the online status will appear in 3 months.
I am watching the threads here on these forums and all are saying that when they applied, after few days they received PCC or medical report subimssion requests etc.

i dont know what is 3 months for, ?

Ask for courier tracking number confirmation from your lawyer. However, it's too early to receive an AOR at this point; it takes 30-60 days now I believe. Best you could do is just wait until you receive an AOR. You can just take your lawyer's word for it then.
